More Is Less For $69 Hot Dog
I have no problem if somebody wants to shell out $69 for a hot dog. (Even in New York, where hot dogs are plentiful.) Serendipity 3, the New York eatery, lets diners do just that. What I do take issue with however, is that the thing is clearly served with ketchup. Now that I just can’t take seriously.

ThinkGeek Chocolate Zombie Bunny Turns Real

Considering previous ThinkGeek April Fool’s gag products have turned real, it shouldn’t be a great surprise that the Chocolate Zombie Bunny has found life. Joining other physical-world products, the Tauntaun Sleeping Bag, My First Bacon, Unicorn Meat, Personal Soundtrack Shirt, 8-bit Tie and the iCade, the little critter is the sweet-to-eat treat that bites back. Unfortunately, what isn’t a joke, is the fact that it is all sold out–but hey, there’s always next year.

Champagne Salvaged From 19th Century Shipwreck

Some truly rare wines are about to go under the hammer–and chances are they would survive even if that were literally true. Coming up in June, two bottles of champagne (Veuve Clicquot and Juglar) salvaged from a 19th-century shipwreck will be auctioned off. The apparently indestructible bottles are sure to fetch a hefty price.
Click on through to read the whole press release, including information on how to place a bid. (Good idea: Do not drink while bidding on this auction.)

The Bacon Challenge Finds New Ways To Bacon

Bacon Roses from Instructables user kaptaink_cg. Click image to learn how the appetizing bouquet was made.
The internet loves to bacon (is it a verb yet?) and Instructables users are in on the meme. The DIY-encouraging website is sponsoring a contest where winners can take home an iPad 2 or a bacon-making All-Clad skillet. Just post your fave use of bacon and you are entered in The Bacon Challenge. As you can see from the entry pictured above (from kaptaink_cg), anything goes. Be sure to check out all of the bacon entries.
The Bacon Challenge is simple: make something amazing that involves bacon. We know, bacon is already pretty amazing on its own – therein lies the challenge! Dress it up, build with it, get creative with your porcine bounty. The challenge is to make something both original and bacon-related. If it’s about bacon, it’s eligible.

Could’ve Had A V8–But Which One?

Even after all these years, do you still occasionally feel like you ‘could’ve had a V8′? It’s a classic advertising campaign that millions are familiar with. However, modern times require a bit more sophistication in communication and Campbell’s, makers of the vegetable and fruit juice blend, have done so by creating two new flavors to speak to more palates. The two new varieties of V8 V-Fusion vegetable and fruit juice are: Concord Grape Raspberry and Concord Grape Raspberry Light. See what Campbell Soup Company has to say about it after the jump.
