It is time to ‘spring forward’ this weekend, meaning the 5’o’clock shadows will be held off until later in the evening. Of course, this means we will be spending more time outside. Outside, and cooking, that is. Even though we are afforded an ‘extra’ hour of sunlight, backyard grillers still know no bounds when it comes to time spent at the grill. So, Daylight Saving Time or not, expect grilling sessions to extend into the night.

I see no flaws with having a portable cooler that does double duty as a chair: you can take it with you everywhere you go. Filled with ice during the hot summer months there would be no better way to fly (or sit). I do however see one major flaw with the All-in-1 Chair.

With the street food craze still going on in full swing, it’s time to get back to basics. While we may never know what the original street food really is (noodles in China being a good bet), the iconic street food item of the modern era in the U.S. (or at least NYC) is the hot dog. While the close companion of the hot dog, the hamburger, might best be prepared on a backyard grill, the hot dog just isn’t a hot dog unless it comes from the street. Or at least a cart.

Pumpkins must not mind being impaled by sharp objects. Around this time of year they do seem to always have that stupid grin on their faces. I’d say that’s proof positive that using the Pumpkin Pal Stake to illuminate the carcass jack-o’-lantern this Halloween is a-okay. Does the light really shut off when you close the ice chest door? Wait, there is no light inside the ice chest. That is, unless you have this Cooler Light from Taylor Gifts. Other than providing minutes of entertainment as the mystery of the cooler light is explored by opening and shutting the ice chest, the cooler light provides much needed illumination for when the party heads into the night. There’s nothing worse than grabbing a Coke when what you really wanted was a PBR. Now that all-too-common mix-up can finally be avoided. As for the cooler light? Yes, it does shut off automatically twenty seconds after you close the lid. But to see the light gnomes in action, you’ll have to buy one and see for yourself.
